Hey there.....how are you doing? Hope you have wonderful weekend!

Today I want to share a song that's been ringing in my heart and head as I was thinking about the possibility to go on a mission trip in Arizona, serving the white mountain apache people. Our pastor said that this year we will focus on children's misnistry, kids EE......sooooo excited!

Anyways, it brings back my memories years back to when I was in middle school. I went to an orphanage with my Sunday School teacher to celebrate Christmas together with the orphans. This orphanage is managed by a Christian organization, so all the kids are taught about the word of God and about Jesus.

Me and my friends went there, sang songs, and distributed some love gifts. The orphans, sang this song:

As I listened to them singing the song, tears started to fall down on my eyes....(Yes, I still vividly remember until now, that's how powerful their singing was). I remember I was rebuked that I didn't see Jesus as my focus and anchor. God had blessed me with so much: loving parents (but I always complains that they don't love me enough), wonderful siblings (but I always quarrel with them), and the list go on. It humbles me to see the heart of these kids from the orphanage. It blessed my heart at that time.....and as I remember that encounter I still feel blessed.

I want the Apaches to have a similar song that they can sing. I wish for the Apache kids to be able to tell others that Jesus can wipe away tears and bring meaning to life. That we can trust Jesus: he died on the cross for us, because he loves us, what else will he hold back?

Back to the orphanage visit story: we spend the rest of the day with the kids, they showed us their rooms and can you guess what I found? Crosses, Bibles, our daily breads (renungan harian) =)

What a powerful testimony coming from these kids!

Wildflowers hunting

After weeks of staying at home - don't want to do anything - period, I finally get to go out on a hike again. I wasn't planning to take anyone, so I pick the shortest and closest trail - Stile Ranch Trail. It is located right at the end of Almaden Expressway.

Trail is short -less than 3 miles but it was very pretty. We came in the right time of the year where lots of wildflower is in bloom. The first miles we literally walk in between thousands of blooming poppies (see pic above). We picked up a wildflower guide at the beginning of the trail and excitedly identified a lot of them during our hike.

Spring Time

This place is awesome! Been here for the third time in the last 6 months, loving every visit. This time I went with my cousin Leo only.....I needed a walk and didn't want to talk, so he is a perfect companion! :p


I remember it was cloudy in the morning, but when we began to hike, we saw a clear sky. Praise God!

It was beginning of the Spring, the cherry blossom started to bloom......

And the trees was sprouting new leaves....

Wild daffodil on the way back (my cousin Leo called it "telor ceplok" - means fried egg)

We got sprinkled by rain on the way back, but had a good time enjoying 1/2 price off Armadillo Willy's burgers afterward (which taste a lot better after miles of uphill hikes! So much for trying to be healthy!)
